This commands are always available from the main Jajuk window in any perspective.

Slimbar/fullscreen

The ambience filter

When set, the selection done through the smart function (see bellow) like Global shuffle are filtered by this ambience. "Any" means no filter.

The search box

Image:search_16x16.png The search box can be used to find any file, track, genre, artist, album etc. for a given text. A result popup appears. Then launch the track by clicking on the list.

The history bar

Image:history_16x16.png The history bar shows all tracks you played (can be cleared and configured in the view preferences). Click on one track to launch it again. Note that tracks in the history bar may be on devices that are no more mounted. In this case, Jajuk will ask you to mount them if available.

Modes

Modes set the player behavior when selected before and during the play. All combinations of modes are allowed. Note that you can see which tracks are repeated thanks special icons in the [view_playlist_editor.html playlist editor view].

  • Image:repeat_16x16.png Repeat single mode [default=off]): When checked, the next launched selection will be played in a loop. If it is checked during a play, only current track will repeat.
  • Image:repeat_all_16x16.png Repeat all mode [default=off]): When checked, the whole queue will be played in a loop. Planned tracks are not played.
  • Image:shuffle_16x16.png Shuffle mode [default=off]: When checked, next launched selection will be played randomly. If it is checked during a play, current selection will randomize.
  • Image:continue_16x16.png Continue mode [default=on]: When checked, player will not stop when selection is played but will continue to play next albums or tracks.
  • Image:intro_16x16.png Intro mode [default=off]: This mode is only available from the top menu "Modes". When checked, only a part of each track will be played (begin position and play time can bet set in the Parameter view/Options tab)

Webradio selection

  • Click on the image:webradio_32x32.png button launches the default webradio
  • Select a webradio using the black drop down arrow at the right side of the webradio button

Smart functions

  • Image:shuffle_global_32x32.png Play shuffle launch a shuffle track from the entire collection (only from mounted devices). Using the drop down button, you can select track by track (default), album by album or shuffled albums mode.
  • Image:bestof_32x32.png Play best of launch one of your favorite tracks (learned thanks the rating system and with a bit of random).
  • Image:novelties_32x32.png Play novelties launch one of newest tracks of your collection with a bit of random. Using the drop down button, you can select track by track (default) or album by album mode.
  • Image:Finish-32-32.png Finish album, useful when using shuffle mode and you find an album you want to finish.

All these smart functions can be filtered using the ambience selector combo box. Select the Any ambience to stop filtering.

Player controls

  • Image:mute_32x32.png Image:unmute_32x32.png Mute/Unmute the sound
  • Image:previous_32x32.png Listen previous track in collection.
    • Right click : Replay current track
    • + Shift : play previous album
    • + CTRL : replay current album
  • Image:next_32x32.png Listen next track in selection.
    • + Shift : play next album
  • Image:player_play_32x32.png Play / Pause current track
  • Image:player_stop_32x32.png Stop playing, playing queue is then voided

Rating toolbar

See Jajuk rating system for more information about Jajuk semi-automatic rating system.

  • Image:preference-like_16x16.png The first combo box allows to set the user preference for the currently played track.
  • Image:ban_16x16.png/Image:pardon_16x16.png switch ban or pardon currently played track. If the current track is banned, it is stopped and will be excluded from smart functions automatic selections. The pardon action resets this banned property so the track can be selected again. Note that a banned track can still be played if launched by the user himself.

The notification/selection areas

You will find at the lower part of the screen :

  • A message box : usually the name of the played track but can also be information or error messages. Error messages uses a red font.
  • A selection box : displays the number of items and their size of the current selection.
  • A total time area : displays selection total remaining time.
  • A current track time : displays current track elapsed time using a progress bar as well as elapsed and remaining time in minutes and seconds. Clicking on it to changes its format.
